So we can repair DOS, Windows 9x, Me, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Unix, Linux, Xenix, Mac 7, 8, 9 and X, even TiVo HDDs. The recovery is performed at near-hardware level, repositioning the heads thousands of times if needed, to read whatever data the drive can obtain from the bad area of the HDD. Statistical analysis is used to reconstruct the data from the many retries, if necessary.
